Golden Drum confirmed leadership position of the McCann Adriatic agencies

Campaign #Unwanted by agencies McCann Podgorica and McCann Beograd won three awards at the jubilee twenty-fifth Golden Drum festival, including the Golden Drum Adriatic Award for the best project in the region, confirming the leadership position among the agencies of the region, while McCann Worldgroup was declared the leading agency network for the fifth time.

“This year’s success at the Golden Drum Festival is another international confirmation of the quality of our work and agency teams. I’m very grateful to our clients for their trust and partnership, and I congratulate them on awards won at this festival, as well as at all festivals so far. We are proud that we have been proclaimed the best agency network for the fifth time in a row,” said Vladimir Dimovski, CEO of McCann Adriatic.

With 175 points, McCann Worldgroup won the Golden Net Award, which named it the agency network of the year. In competition with 1200 submitted works from 28 countries, the international jury awarded the “Unwanted” campaign, realized for the Center for Women’s Rights from Podgorica, with two golds and one silver award. “The Red Thread” campaign, created for The Coca – Cola Company, also found its way on the list of finalists.

The first international award for an agency from Montenegro is an exceptional award. Sandra Vujović, Creative Lead at McCann Podgorica, said: “For our small team from Podgorica, Golden Drum award bears a special weight. For the first time, a marketing agency from Montenegro was awarded with acknowledgments of this size and significance. The collaboration we’ve accomplished with colleagues from McCann Beograd and the NGO Center for Women’s Rights working on #Unwanted campaign is an excellent example of how important topics can gather people around a big goal for a moment, and how good ideas lead to significant changes in the society. Maja Raičević from the NGO Center for Women’s Rights stated on the occasion of the award: “The #Unwanted is not only a story about selective abortions, it’s much more a story about equality, the future, and freedom. It’s not only a Montenegro story, it’s universal and therefore needs to travel the world. This is one way to achieve it, and that’s why we are very grateful for the support you have given us with these awards.”

For the third consecutive year, McCann Beograd is achieving success at the Golden Drum festival with campaigns which have great results, which are noticed by the public and reflect innovative forms of advertising. These campaigns are a result of an integrated approach, and they’re implemented in cooperation with UM Podgorica agency for the #Unwanted project and UM Beograd agency for the “The Read Thread” project.

“We are very proud of our cooperation with colleagues from the agency McCann Podgorica. This is a reward for courage to raise important discussions in society and proof that our industry can and should be actively involved in the creation of a world in which we want to live. For us, this festival is also important for the success of another campaign that has shifted the boundaries. Golden Drum Festival is one of the most important international advertising festivals on which the best world agencies traditionally participate. This year, the jubilee twenty-fifth time was organized by the Slovenian Advertising Chamber.
