Our copywriter and the writer that Serbia has begun to reveal
At the competition for the literary scholarship from the “Borislav Pekić” Fund, forty-five applications arrived in due time. The jury decided that the literary scholarship with Pekić’s name for 2011 will go to Bojan Babić, a writer from Belgrade.
In the meantime, the last book, for now, has been published, “Devojčice budite dobre ” (Girls be good) and has already been talked about.
Bojan Babić was born in Belgrade in 1977, where he graduated and completed a Master’s degree at the Department of Serbian and World Literature, Faculty of Philology. His first book, a collection of short stories entitled Pli-Pli was released in 1996, published by Književna omladina Srbije, and in 2003 his book of poetic texts Buka u prozi (Noise in prose), was published by the publishing house Intelekta from Valjevo. His third book, a collection of stories Priče o sreći (Stories about happiness), was published in 2008, by the Belgrade publishing house Treći trg, and his novel Neljudska komedija (Inhuman Comedy) came out in 2010, published by Algoritam Media, Belgrade.
